This is a love letter dedicated to our loyal and faithful customers, suppliers, retailers, employees—past and present—and to the countless dear friends we have made along the way. What a journey it has been.
After careful consideration and with tremendous gratitude, Leachco officially ceased active operations as of September 16, 2025. We will no longer be creating or manufacturing the products you have come to love and depend on to make your busy lives better. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve you.
As many of you know, my husband, business partner, and Leachco’s co-founder, Clyde, passed away earlier this summer. Now it is time to turn the page of ingenuity, innovation, creativity, and collaboration to others. Perhaps it is you who will pick up the torch, and I hope so. I will be your greatest encourager and cheerleader. Believe in yourself, your ideas, and your ability to do something extraordinary. Keep taking that next step. With God’s direction and guidance, the impossible becomes possible. I know—because we experienced it.
How did we get started? In February 1988, after a near accident involving our then seven-month-old son, Alex, in a restaurant high chair, I developed a handy body wrap to provide better support for him in a high chair, stroller, or regular chair. I always ended up with the restaurant highchair that had missing or defective buckles or straps. We called it the “Wiggle Wrap ®” and it went everywhere with us. The immediate interest from other parents and onlookers was overwhelming. Clyde said to me, “I think we might have something here.” So, of course, what does a daring crop duster and a registered nurse do next? We formed a business to produce our first invention, and in May 1988, Leachco was born.
We didn’t set out to start a company. We wanted to make something for our own baby to make outings easier and safer. Because of you, we were able to take this simple seating device and grow it into a multigenerational family business that stood the test of time, experiencing over 37 years of both highs and lows.
You continued to say “yes” to our growing line of products: the Wiggle Wrap ®, Kid Kaper ®, Sit ‘n Secure ®, Safer Bather ®, Snoogle ®, Sleeper Keeper, ® Back n Belly ®, All Nighter ®, Cuddle-U ®, Preggle ®, Natural Nursing Pillow ®, and so many other Leachco originals that made life better for millions of people. You encouraged us, supported us, loved us, and accompanied us on this extraordinary journey. We secured numerous patents and trademarks, and eventually found our footing as we continued to develop and create unique, helpful products for families everywhere.
Our children and grandchildren grew up in this business and benefited from every imaginable challenge a small business can bring. Leachco has kept our family together and connected in ways no other way of life could have. This has been one of the greatest blessings to Clyde and me. Our children have learned alongside us and from one another, gaining invaluable experiences and memories along the way.
My heart is full of gratitude and wonderful memories that will never fade. It has been all and more than we could have ever imagined.
This was all made possible by the commitment, devotion, talents, knowledge, and skills of our Leachco employees, many of whom have been with us almost since the beginning. They were the “beautiful fabric and strong thread” that held us together through tough days, through the loss of loved ones, family, and friends—those things in life that none of us can escape. You are our heroes.
Leachco was committed to God on the day it was conceived in our hearts and minds. We established it on the scriptures that His will would be accomplished through our marriage and business partnership. This platform enabled us to reach thousands of people worldwide from every walk of life with our testimony of God’s love, promises, and hope. It is our prayer that you, too, will be able to see your dreams come true, your ideas take form, and your goals become a reality.
Thank you for being a part of the Leachco family. We are connected in spirit, wishing each other the best in our futures.
With love, gratitude, and hope for a better tomorrow for all,
Jamie Leach and Family
